People-First Culture
Better together.
At our Company.
While each of our CSW Industrials locations have their own personalities, the general atmosphere is like a family. Our team members take pride in their work, especially because they feel valued and rewarded. It is not uncommon for many team members to have 15, 20, or even 25 years of tenure.
Teamwork is our core value that motivates team members to care for one another, and to recognize that individual performance impacts both the Company and their fellow team members. This encourages a competitive, yet collaborative spirit, driving ever greater performance. Our team expects to win, and this is reinforced by our track record of success. Making good business decisions means achieving results, which in turn helps us all succeed.
In recognition of excellence in teamwork, our #SpotlightonU campaign is one example of our efforts to recognize team members who go above and beyond to achieve in their roles and serve as strong examples of our culture and values.

Meet a few of these standout team members now and hear what they have to say about working with CSWI:
Commitment to our employees and our communities.
At CSWI, our people are our greatest asset. At the beginning of the unprecedented global pandemic, we made a commitment to continued employment and we succeeded. Throughout the pandemic, we continued employment for all—without furlough. We accomplished this through our ongoing commitment to prudent decision making, targeted cost containment, and focus on achieving results.
We’re also there to help our team members if they are impacted by other types of major events, like a weather incident. As one recent example, CSWI offered assistance to employees located at RectorSeal in Houston, Texas, who suffered significant home damage as a result of the unusual winter freeze.
The families of our team members matter just as much. Four years ago, CSWI initiated a scholarship fund that benefits employees’ dependents with an emphasis on individuals who are first-generation attendees at either a college or trade school. In the past four years, CSWI has awarded $200,000 to twenty-six recipients.
A heart for others extends to those around us, as well. CSWI fosters a sense of community throughout our Company. Each of our primary businesses coordinates outreach efforts to positively impact the local community. Team members give their time and resources to assist others in varying ways, including feeding the homeless, organizing food drives, supporting nonprofit organizations dedicated to closing the opportunity divide, and more.
When people need help—whether inside or outside our walls—the team members of CSWI come together to lift up others.
Here are shining examples of our operating companies in action:
RectorSeal organizes and participates in several community initiatives. The Back-to-School backpack drive is supported by employees who donate backpacks and school supplies for in-need employees’ families. Employees also support DePelchin Children’s Center with donations of school supplies and holiday gifts. In 2020, RectorSeal employees across all locations donated an estimated 916 pounds of food to the Houston Food Bank Food Drive 2020. RectorSeal also supported the Houston area by donating money and PTO during Hurricane Harvey and other recent storms. Employees help each other as well. They donated PTO to a fellow employee who had to stay home for several months after her daughter was injured in a car accident. She never missed a paycheck.
Born and based in Boise, Idaho, Smoke Guard has deep roots in the community. The team calendar is filled with philanthropic events and drives, including support for Women’s & Children’s Alliance, local and national food banks, United Way, and Treats for Troops. Smoke Guard participates in local charitable fitness events throughout the year as a team, fostering unity and health for a cause.
In our daily operations, Balco takes safety seriously. The well-being of our team members as we produce our building products is our top priority. At the same time, Balco prides itself on creating products for contractors and their customers which meet safety code requirements in a beautiful way. Outside of the office, Balco strives to be an exemplary member of our local community. Balco is a member of the Wichita Chamber of Commerce, and our team members are major supporters of food and toy collection drives, United Way campaigns, and American Red Cross blood drives.
Greco supports its community through job training and opportunities. Career discovery is provided for entry level positions in manufacturing, and local manufacturers are invited to “lunch and learns” about Greco’s business. Students are instructor-lead through various trainings such as drilling, taping, grinding, and finishing of aluminum, electrical applications, and woodworking, and job opportunities are offered to individuals within Greco’s branches.
